SaluVet Anniversary: 30 Years of EMAS
Since 2 August 1995, SaluVet has been committed to a systematic environmental management system in accordance with EMAS. Dr Roland Schaette made a conscious decision to participate on a voluntary basis as early as the mid-1990s. As Gebrüder Schaette KG, the company was the first in the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) region to be entered in the EMAS site register under registration number DE-165-00001.
EMAS thus builds on an environmental and sustainability ethos that had already been practised within the company for many years. To this day, the environmental management system helps to systematically record environmental performance, pursue specific targets and continuously implement improvement measures. These include, amongst other things, climate protection, energy and resource efficiency, sustainable procurement, packaging optimisation and biodiversity.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of EMAS, this long-standing commitment was given special recognition: the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia Chamber of Industry and Commerce presented SaluVet with an anniversary certificate from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety. It stands as a symbol of three decades of consistent and sustainable environmental management.
