After diarrhoeal diseases, respiratory tract infections in calves are the main cause of farrowing and developmental disorders. Later on, sick animals also lag behind and cannot fully exploit their performance potential. Respiratory diseases should therefore be prevented in the best case and treated quickly in case of illness.
As an effective alternative to antibiotics, medicinal herbs can be used both preventively and for treatment.
