Farm-based learning centre in Baden-Württemberg – national award and supported by SaluVet
On 28 June 2024, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the German UNESCO Commission presented the ‘National Award – Education for Sustainable Development’.
Sustainable development means ensuring human dignity and equal opportunities for all in an intact environment. Education is central to sustainable development. It enables people to make decisions for the future and to assess how their own actions will affect future generations or life in other regions of the world.
Lernort Bauernhof offers school classes or children’s/youth groups a visit to farms to experience the origin, production and processing of food – learning with head, heart and hand!
The Lernort Bauernhof project in Baden-Württemberg impressed the jury with its exemplary commitment to ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) and its special dedication to the United Nations’ Global Sustainability Goals.
